New Vocabulary
We learned a new word today, thanks to the National Geographics that my mom sent. This time they just had to come 2/3 of the way across the country, rather than across the Atlantic. Time to get that change of address going....
But in a list of newly created words, Daughter#2 found "floordrobe." Perfect timing, as she still has one (see previous post and photo) until her shelves arrive from IKEA next week.
We miss IKEA.
On our drive over from Illinois (almost two weeks ago already?), Son#2 piped up from the back seat: "The America man!" and, another, "The America man!"
We were passing a house with posters of Uncle Sam wanting us, which we explained...that name was somewhere in the back of his head, but couldn't be found quite quickly enough.
Here's a random happening: about 1/4 of a mile down our road is a house with this mailbox. Daughter#1 goes to school on Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. What?
And, this isn't culture related that I know of, but from Son#1, who often gets set phrases allllmost right...
"Let me get a word in sideways!"
